Tyler Torrez
Owner, Hands On Painting
Tyler Torrez grew up right here in Washougal, the Gateway to the Gorge, and built Hands On Painting on hard work, honesty and taking care of people. When you hire us, you’re not getting a crew from across the river. You’re getting a neighbor who knows what Gorge wind and Clark County rain do to a house.

Washougal is the Gateway to the Columbia River Gorge, where long rainy seasons, damp winters and strong east winds are hard on exterior paint. As locals, we know a lasting paint job starts with prep that’s made for our climate.
We wash and treat siding for mildew and moss before painting, so new paint bonds to a clean surface.
Gaps, seams and trim joints are caulked and sealed to keep water out of your siding.
Exterior work is scheduled around the weather, typically in the drier summer months, so paint can cure properly.
Interior and cabinet projects aren’t weather-dependent, so they’re a great fit for the rainy season.
